House District 76

Rep. Andy Holt: (R) Chair: Finance, Ways, & Means Subcommittee Member: Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee, Agriculture and Natural Resources Subcommittee, Finance, Ways, & Means Committee, Select Committee on Rules, Joint Pensions and Insurance Committee. Chairman Holt is our leadership rock star. With 4 strong bills sponsored that we chose to score (We don't look at the sponsor when we choose our bills) and 10 co-sponsorships, he leads the House in leadership points and earns an A+. You can't top that, but a 100% vote score makes it a double triumph. In addition, he is always available when we have a question or something we feel we need to discuss. Congratulations to Andy Holt! In 2018: Sponsored one (1) very important bill favored by TLRC. HB2620 that would encourage school districts to keep traditional policies regarding bath and locker room use by engaging the office of the attorney general in case of lawsuits, thereby protecting the comfort and safety of the vast majority of students. It was defeated in Senate Judicial for lack of a second. Co-sponsored twelve (12) bills favored by TLRC. Voted against the Gas Tax. Rep. Holt has been a warrior for conservative causes and values.
