House District 75

Rep. Bruce Griffey (R) is new this year. He is the Vice-Chair of the House Transportation Committee, member: Infrastructure Subcommittee, Judiciary Committee, and Constitutional Protections & Sentencing Subcommittee. Vice Chairman Griffey sponsored a number of very strong bills, most of which were defeated by an abundance of caution and dearth of courage. We chose his "stand your ground" bill to score. It would grant immunity from prosecution for defending one's own or another's life when threatened. Unfortunately, it was taken off-notice in house judiciary for lack of support. We commend Rep. Griffey's leadership and courageous, independent positions, earning him an A-. We look forward to working with him in 2020 to achieve more freedom-preserving measures.
