HB1770/SB2161 Limits Candidates Personal Loaning to Campaign Dunn/Bell
Limits amount to $100,000 that a candidate may personally loan the candidate's own campaign per election, but does not limit amount candidate may contribute to campaign.
This bill would have prevented a candidate from loaning his or her personal campaign large amounts of money, which can discourage challengers from entering the race. Often the money is never spent, but it shows up on statements of cash on hand.
We supported this bill.
