HB2223/SB2275 Redress/transparency regarding fiscal notes Daniel/Watson
This bill would give lawmakers some redress to question and get relief for perceived unwarranted fiscal notes.
We support this bill and believe unreasonably high fiscal notes are sometimes used as a tool to kill bills that leadership does not want addressed.
TLRC Observed Process
This bill passed the House State Government subcommittee with recommendation for amendment. It was taken off notice in the House State Government full committee. The amending compromise made it unworthy of pursuing. It was never heard in the Senate.
