We have seen all across the country and even in the state of Tennessee that there is an agenda against our families and our children.
House Bill 9 will address drag shows and other sexualized performances that have been taking place in public areas across the state and are accessible to minors. Some municipalities have been successful at moving these performances into private venues where minors are restricted from attendance. Others have not.
This bill addresses the problem by enacting a state law that prohibits these sexualized performances from taking place anywhere accessible to a minor and also creates a criminal penalty (Class E Felony) for violation of the law.
