TLRC Statement on Bill

This bill requires students of a private school to participate in interscholastic athletic activities or events based on a student’s biological sex. It allows for fair competition for males and females given different physical strengths and limitations and removes the ambiguity on a private school’s right to make such a policy for their students and protect girls’ sports in the state of Tennessee.
