TLRC Statement on Bill

This bill would force hospitals and healthcare providers to offer flu and pneumococcal disease vaccines to every patient over ages 50 and 65 respectively, upon being discharged from a hospital.

Why is there such a harder push toward vaccines year after year? Why would it be the proper role of government to force a hospital to offer certain medical treatment to all patients, regardless of their individual needs or medical condition?

This bill is government overreach and just terrible policy.
