This chart provides a complete breakdown of the sources of the legislator’s total campaign contributions.
- Business – A business entity such as a corporation. Per Tennessee law, these contributions are limited to $1,000 or the business would have to register as a political action committee (PAC).
- Candidate – Money received from the campaign account of another candidate for office.
- Individual – Personal contribution from an individual. The person’s occupation and employer must also be reported. See contribution limits. (T.C.A. § 2-10-301)
- PAC – Money received from a political action committees registered with the state of Tennessee. Considered as contributions from special interests.
- L-PAC – Contributions from what is referred to as a Leadership PAC. (i.e. the CAM PAC managed by Speaker Cameron Sexton or the Senate Republican Caucus PAC)
